Ellen M. Kellogg, daughter of the late Hiram Kellogg, was born in Henry township, Marshall county, Illinois, 78 years ago, Nov 10, on the farm now the home of Edmund Quinn. Over half a century ago she was married to Isaac Camery and they were the parents of 8 children, three of whom, a son and two daughters, have preceded her ... Those surviving with her venerable husband, are Harry Camery from Worthington, Minn., Ida Camery at home; Nellie, a teacher in Chicago; Mrs. John Morse of near Henry; and Mrs. Charles German of Hopewell township; also several grandchildren. Funeral was held at St. Jude's church, Tiskilwa, Illinois. Burial in Henry Public Cemetery. A.B. Smith, mortician.
Ellen M. Kellogg, daughter of Hiram and Thankful Kellogg, was born Nov. 10, 1840, in Whitefield twp. on a farm now owned by J. E. Quinn and died at her home in Henry, Ill., Feb 12, 1919, at the age of 78 y 3 mos 2 d. She is survived by her husband, five children, thirteen grandchildren and one brother, William Kellogg. The children surviving are Harry W. of Worthington, Minn., Ida at home; Cora, wife of John Morse; Vera, wife of Charles German; and Nellie, a teacher in a Chicago school, whose address is 1615 Jackson Blvd.
The deceased spent her entire life in and around Henry and vicinity. Her girlhood life was passed on the farm where she was born. She received her early education at the Snyder school which is now known as the Quinn school, later attending a seminary located just north of Henry. Her marriage to Isaac W. Camery occurred Oct. 2, 1864. To this union were born eight children, three of whom have preceded her to the life beyond. Much of her married life was spent on the farm, but her residence for the past 36 years has been in Henry. On Oct 2, 1914, they celebrated with their children and friends the 50th anniversary of wedded life, together and at her death has completed 55 years in which they had labored as husband and wife and shared in the honors, trials and prosperity of a long life. Mr. Camery is now 88 years of age and in reasonable vigor and strength for one of his great age. Mrs. Camery became endeared to all who knew her, as she was a woman of sweet personality. In her family was centered her deepest interests, and she was indeed a loving wife and most devoted mother.

Death brought a cessation of suffering to the aged and frail body of Mrs. Isaac Camery on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, when the messenger of God touched her brow and she sank peacefully to rest as one tired, after a long journey.

Here she grew to young womanhood and over half a century ago was married to Isaac Camery and they were the parents of eight children, three of whom, a son and two daughters, have preceded her to the life beyond. Those surviving with her venerable husband, to cherish the memory of a dear wife and mother, are Harry Camery of Worthington, Minn.; Ida Camery at home; Nellie, a teacher in Chicago; Mrs. John Morse of near Henry and Mrs. Charles German of Hopewell township; also several grandchildren.
Mrs. Camery has been ailing the past several years gradually growing weaker with the progress of time and while her dutiful children and aged husband did all in their power to alleviate her comfort, death could not be staid, it had marked her as its own.
The funeral will be held from her late home on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev Dew Brittain, Episcopal rector of St. Jude's church, Tiskilwa, will officiate, and the commitment will be in Henry cemetery A. B. Smith, mortician.
