Came to Magnolia, IL Sept 20, 1845. In 1876 he was married to
Mrs. Lincoln of Streator, IL, who still survives. Owing to the
snow blocked roads, his daughters, Mrs. Rich and Mrs. Scott of
Wenona, IL, were unable to be present at his dying bedside. But
nothing of loving attention was left undone by Oscar Baker who
stayed by his father till death came. Charles Baker, Sr, brother
of the deceased, was in constant attendance. "The hand will his
ways above; that shaped his task below."
